Making your voice heard

  • Student Voice Leaders

At the start of each academic year, you’ll be able to elect a Student Voice Leader to represent your year of your course. We have over 600 Student Voice Leaders, each acting as a point-of-contact between students and staff, listening your views and ideas and then working with the University to make changes that you really want to see.

Student Voice Leaders represent their coursemates, and have the power to make change on their course and at Middlesex University more widely.

You can find out who your Student Voice Leader is by logging in to the MDXSU website.

  • Programme Voice Groups

Your Student Voice Leaders will attend Programme Voice Groups, which take place twice a year. These are productive meetings, useful for both students and staff and is the ideal opportunity for your Student Voice Leaders to represent and feedback your views and concerns to Academic and Service staff.

Have a read of the full documentation for Programme Voice Groups which includes expectations of Student Voice Leaders and staff.

  • MDXSU Officers

In addition to Student Voice Leaders, get familiar with your Student Officers. These elected representatives ensure that your voice is heard in a range of areas and that the work of MDXSU reflects the wishes of Middlesex students. You can provide feedback to your MDXSU Officers through their online Ideas For Change feature.

  • Surveys

.

At different points in your programme, you’ll be asked to complete a survey for each of your modules. They only take a few minutes of your time but can end up making a huge difference to how your programme is taught.

Postgraduate students will also have a chance to share their learning and teaching experience, either through the PG Taught or the PG Research experience survey.

To ensure we deliver the best for our students, we will also ask you to take part in surveys about our facilities and support services throughout the year

  • Your Impact

What do we do with your feedback? Your feedback not only helps our services and processes improve but can also make a big difference to your student experience. In response to student feedback, we have made changes to several services and processes, including our marking policy, timetabling and learning and teaching.

For more information on how your voice implements change here at Middlesex, check out Your Impact.
