    Erasmus student exchange programWhether you’re targeting a graduate role, or want to start your own business, it’s never too early to start thinking about your future career. No matter what your goals are, Middlesex University is here to support your aspirations.

    Your Employability

    MDXworks is your comprehensive careers service throughout your time at Middlesex University. Skills development and work opportunities are embedded in all degree programmes and we provide support to help you secure that all-important graduate job. The MDXworks office in the College Building, CG07, also hosts the Unitemps Middlesex recruitment agency, which matches Middlesex students with paid jobs on-campus.

    Your Enterprise

    Middlesex University supports students looking to launch self-employed, contractor and freelance careers, including business start-ups. The Enterprise Development Hub (EDH@MDX) is a service providing support, training and motivation through a range of workshops, seminars, mentoring and events.

    MDX Crowdfund, meanwhile, is a crowdfunding platform where you can raise funds for a wide variety of projects including business ideas, film and theatre projects, sports clubs, fashion shows and personal challenges.

    Erasmus and Exchange Programmes

    Did you know that students who go on exchange programmes typically achieve higher grades and enjoy better job prospects?

    Student gaining work experienceMiddlesex University offers one of the most comprehensive exchange programmes in the UK. You can go on exchange on most of our degree programmes – from jazz to nursing, politics to business - and we have over 100 different exchange partners to choose from around the world.

    Language and Culture Exchange

    The Language and Culture Exchange scheme is a new programme for students to learn additional languages from each other. You can sign up by letting the service know which language you would like to learn, and you will be matched with a language partner who you can meet at one of the service’s events throughout the year, or in your own time.

    MDXSU Community Placements

    Your students’ union now provides paid opportunities to work with local businesses and community groups. You can apply the skills learned in your studies and gain work experience in organisations committed to making Barnet a better place to live for everyone.
