Everything you need to know in 1 minute about being a Fresher

By MDX Student Writer, Luis Silva

Student Writer Luis gives some tips on how to optimise your Fresher experience

  1. Organize your time

When you first start at Middlesex University there is to do: from enrolling to setting up a bank account (if you are an international student). My advice is to organize your time well so you can go to as many freshers’ events as possible! This could include setting up some of these things before you even arrive.

  2. Get out of your comfort zone

This is your fresh start, the time for you to become the person you want to be in the future. So get out of your comfort zone! Start chatting with random people, make new friends, everybody is in the same situation as you and is as nervous so don’t be scared to say hello.

  3. Make the most out of it

While you are not drowning in assignments and responsibilities (trust me that will happen eventually…)  explore as much as you can. Check out what is happening at Middlesex University; from trips around London to parties and speed meets, there is so much on to help you make new friends and get the most out of your time here.

  4. Have fun

Just have fun, enjoy as much as you can, this is your new beginning, so enjoy this amazing experience.
