Another academic year has passed. I still can’t believe that the second year is already over. How weird is it that there are no more looming essay or exam deadlines...for a little while at least. And my summer is shaping up to be pretty exciting already.
Amelia will be heading to Poland this summer to work for a top magazine
Having just got back from a holiday in Portugal relaxing, I will soon be heading to Poland to work as an editorial intern for Women’s Health magazine – this is a large professional company so I really want to do my best and learn as much as I can. I was told that my responsibilities will include: writing articles in accordance with SEO (search engine optimisation) rules, translating texts, selecting and editing pictures, as well as preparing infographics.
Amelia is passionate about editorial work and is hoping her internship will give her the experience she needs to excel
Women’s Health is a magazine with twenty editions published in 30 countries with 15 million readers. It is a worldwide lifestyle guide, for women, in the topics such as health, style, beauty, sex, and sport. It is said that the magazine is “the most inspiring and motivating lifestyle magazine for modern, active and ambitious women.”
Erasmus + offers MDX students a fantastic opportunity to broaden our horizons and develop global employability competencies. What you need to do is to find a country that you would like to work in and apply for an internship that you are looking for. That is what I did. As soon as I knew that I got an internship, I contacted the Student Exchange Team and they told me what to do next, step by step.
I can’t wait to begin this amazing journey in Poland and I hope you all have a wonderful summer holiday too!
