Share your experience at Middlesex University Diary Room

By Callum Tyndall, Events Reporter

Callum reports on the #MadeInMiddlesex video diary room on campus

The morning of the most recent #MadeInMiddlesex diary room event began with queues of students’ eager to tell their stories with the interview team, in their bizarre but cosy igloo.

Positivity and good energy flowed as students shared experiences and memories gained from Middlesex on our whiteboards. Getting involved allowed people to build confidence, make new friends and showcase their achievements.

With friendly and inclusive staff running the event, it set a relaxed and professional tone, thereby providing a comfortable atmosphere to unwind and take a minute to share a story.

Pictured are Brad and Jake – Studying BA Film

One of Brad’s highlights at university has been co-hosting the DJ Collectives night of Silent Disco music at the first fresher’s event of 2018.

Jake (pictured to the right below), writes about his most recent highlight of university with his recent movie pitch for his rom-com short film, ‘Fruits of our Summer’, for BFI Network at Aesthetica, in York.

Aishah and Heba

Aishah studied BA Sociology  at Middlesex but now works at the University for the employability team. Heba is studying a masters' in human resources development at Middlesex. Both provided motivational quotes for the whiteboards; Aishah:“I owe everything to Middlesex University, and I whole-heartedly recommend you squeeze your lemon and maximise the breath of opportunities available, here at Middlesex."

Hamza - a third-year accounting student - talks about building his personal development, gaining self-confidence and interacting with new people at Middlesex.

If you didn't get the chance to come down on Monday and take part, then this Thursday it will be running again. It's your last chance to share your #MadeInMiddlesex story in an inflatable video diary room - don't miss out!

Also taking place alongside the video diary room, will be the Career Connect event in the Quad between10-5pm.
